The MinuSadam pottery studio in Tallinn offers a calm, hands-on environment for ceramic making. It is a boutique-style studio ideal for small groups. Located at Raua 65, close to Tallinn harbour D-terminal, the studio accommodates up to 8 people around the table for making ceramics, with 5-6 people being the ideal group size.

How it started…

The idea of creating the MinuSadam pottery studio & crafts shop came about when ceramicist Ly Tiido decided to study ceramics on top of her university education and years of work experience in sales and marketing and project management in the private sector. This decision was not spontaneous, but rather a natural progression following years of fascination with ceramics. You can read more about Ly’s work and her journey to having her own studio HERE.

Everybody is welcome

We are happy to welcome everybody who is interested in clay and ceramics – beginners and advanced potters. There are no required skill levels for realising your own artistic ideas or creating functional ceramics for your home. You can contact us and join in any time. In case we do not have an ongoing course, you can work at our studio individually.

Team-building

Our studio offers companies the opportunity to hold team events in the rhythm of pottery making or to celebrate other important moments with their employees.

Private events

Individuals can attend our ceramics courses to learn various techniques, or they can celebrate their birthday with friends while modelling clay, celebrate Mother’s or Father’s Day with their family, and so on.

Kerako quality equipment

We use a Finnish made Kerako 160-litre front-loading kiln to fire clay items, and it can accommodate objects up to 60 cm high, meaning that taller vases can also be made here.

Our online shop

In addition to the pottery studio, we run a small handicraft shop within the same premises and in our online shop. You can purchase our own ceramics; Kity Disain porcelain jewellery; knitted and crocheted hats for both cool summer weather and crisp winter cold by “KA:MA – a Kaberneeme Marina brand, handmade candles and crocheted mini animals made with love by SilmastSilma (Eye-to-Eye) handicraft enthusiasts, and much more. We also sell items made from Portuguese cork oak, such as backpacks, placemats, eyeglass cases, mobile phone cases, tote bags, women’s sandals, sneakers, etc. You can find our online shop HERE.
