The paragraphs that make up the story of our lives, are unique for every one of us. This story here started with knitting beanies and scarves that was a pleasant past-time on the side of a daily job. This is how KA:MA – a Kaberneeme Marina brand came to life. Later, MinuSadam was created.

Both of our brands, MinuSadam and KA:MA – a Kaberneeme Marina brand have their roots in Kaberneeme peninsula, in an old fishermans village of the same name, where we like to spend our summers.

It all started with KA:MA – from the love for handicraft and lovely yarn. From knitted items for our own seagoing family and friends. MinuSadam on the other hand is much more than just handicraft. Besides standing for a ceramic studio with a slight modification of the name as MinuSadam Art and Crafts, it is also the brand behind our MinuSadam Getaway holiday rentals in Kaberneeme, Estonia.

To start with, and for quite a while, it was all for ourselves and for our friends. We loved what we did and it made us happy. And suddenly we felt that we are ready to share our joy and accomplishments with others. With you, for example.

Our brand-name MinuSadam needs no explanation for Estonians. MinuSadam or ‘Minu Sadam’ means My Harbour in Estonian.

All of us should have our own harbour. A special place where we feel safe and sound, at peace and content with ourselves. Where we can be who we are without judgment and prejudice. A place where you can be who you wish to be without prejudice or judgment. It’s everyone’s own little paradise. Like a bubble that we create around us and where we can be alone or with our loved ones, feeling joyful and protected. Whether it’s a real place, such as our home, or an imaginary one, either way, this is the place where we hide from the rest of the world. If we’re lucky, it’s always with us, within us, even when we’re on the road.

The term MinuSadam can be read as ‘Minus Adam’ in English. Even without a companion and being completely alone, you can enjoy yourself. Because sometimes you need time to be by yourself. Have a moment to fill up your cup and regain your strength to face the world confidently again and again. Nobody else can define you but you. This is your life, and this is your world. That’s what MinuSadam stands for.

MinuSadam LLC is the owner of the brand KA:MA – a Kaberbeeme Marina brand. It is a label we created for handknit beanies and scarves, to start with. Here is the story of KA:MA.

The KA:MA trademark, as mentioned, started off with beanies. And beautiful yarn and a love for handicraft. And from the pleasant feeling you get when doing crafts, spending time enjoying your own company. At first, we made beanies for our families to enjoy, and as gifts for friends and friends of friends. But we suddenly realized that we would love to share the positive emotions arising from creating handicrafts with others. This is how the craft brand KA:MA was born.

KA:MA is actually an abbreviation of the name Kaberneeme Marina, also known as Kaberneeme Marina. A big and important part of our family’s life is linked to this marina, as well as Kaberneeme Village. This is where we escape every chance we get – to the forest and seaside. It’s a pleasure to be here. Even with windy weather by the sea, there is no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothing. And you get KA:MA beanies from us.

And what is remarkable is that the Estonian national food is also called ‘kama’, which makes the brand even more unique yet familiar and Estonian-like.
